16 hh all rounder for share - Northaw

16 hh all rounder for share. Full livery, no yard duties. 2 flexible days per week, £150 pcm (£ per day) Maisie is suitable for a fairly competent intermediate rider or for somebody a little further on. She would suit a rider who doesn't mind getting their leg on as she is quite laid back on a general level and who is also capable of being positive and giving confidence to Maisie on windy days when she's more bouncy and on her toes. Maisie gets plenty of turn out so isn't especially sharp but she does need riding. She would be perfect for someone who has a keen interest in improving their riding in the school and who would possibly like to take advantage of the quality coaching which is available on site. Whilst Maisie does hack alone, you need to be quite positive to replace the comfort of a friend's presence. Aside from possibly topping up hay or water, there is no need for yard duties. However Maisie does love attention so any extra grooming and fuss beyond the required feet picking and brushing off sweat would be welcome. The yard is situated in Northaw and you do really need a car- there is a bus but it's not especially regular. The arena has a proper all weather surface that stands up to anything. The hacking is nice, without the need for extensive road work and the yard has a friendly, informal atmosphere with plenty of people around. Read More

I have two horses looking for share. Both are 13 years, 17 hand Clydesdale mare. She is a very safe hack, alone or in company with a forward going and fun if you want it, or slow ride. She is not heavy in the hand and responsive to the leg. Suitable for a rider who is not a complete novice and confidence giver. Weight limit stone. Also 15 hand gypsy cob gelding, good to hack, but requires good rider as can be sharp and occasionally spook. He is a superb schoolmaster great for lessons in dressage and jumping but not novice rider unless supervised as can be sharp. Weight limit 14 stone. Based in Abridge, very good hacking, forest just down the road and floodlit school. Friendly small yard. £40 a month for two days a week and jobs on your days.
