hh 8yr old Piebald Cob Type Gelding ‘Rio’ A fun ride Rio has done a little bit of everything including training clinics, jumping, beach rides, hacking and school work. Will happily take and respond to an experienced rider or is safe enough for children to have a play on in the school. Works in the school in all 3 paces, still with room for improvement in his way of going as is not a school master. Enjoys his jumping staying sane and sensible. Hacking out he is faultless alone or in company, he is excellent in all traffic not fazed by farm machinery/lorries etc. Ridden wise this pony is cracking and offers a lot of fun to any potential new owner. Extremely sad sale. I have owned Chip for 7yr. But due to a massive change in circumstances I no longer have the time he deserves. He is 11yr old. He is up to date with his injections, dentist, farrier. In the 7yr I have owner him I have never once had any health problems at all. His is a good dooer. He will happily live in or out. He is barefoot and never needed shoes. I am quite a nervous rider and he's never made me feel unsafe although if riding out alone he does require a more confident rider as he can be a bit nappy. I have never known him to rear or buck but he can have a little boy strop and do little bunny hops but that's as bad as I've known him. I have just used him as a happy hack but he takes to anything asked of him so I'm sure in the right hands he'd excel in any area you wish. He did go with my friend for jumping lessons and took to it easily although I haven't jumped him myself for quite a while. He is fantadtic in the heaviest of traffic.
