This is a Chicubes 4'x2' plastic hutch with an attached 8'x4' metal run. The run has a flat extension to protect against burrowing animals and is detachable from the hutch. The hutch has a 'stay up and lift off' lid with locks either side, vents for good air circulation, integrated handles and 2 wheels at the back for ease of movement and a door ramp with a secure turn button lock. Chicken Ark, Hen House, Run, Hutch

Chicken Ark - 8ft 6" x 4ft 9" x 3ft. Made from tanalised treated FSC certified joinery grade redwood 10mm shiplap from Scandinavia which had a 15 year warranty to protect against rot and insect attack (I am not a business and this is a used ark so obviously I can not give any warranty or guarantee or extend/transfer the one I had when I purchased it to you). It is British made. This is a good quality ark, cost me £300 approx. 3 years ago. I treated it with 2 coats of Sadolin Quick Dry Woodstain (Rosewood) which provides 6 years protection when I first purchased the ark and it has just had another two coats of Sadolin Extra Durable at £40 a tin plus I've done the work of applying it for you. The house is 3ft 2" long with a solid plywood floor and has a large access door on one side. The run is 5ft 4" long and also has a side access door. I put my large fowl Speckled Sussex and Araucana in the run for scale, they are not included in the sale. I have washed and sanitised the ark so it is ready for use. My hens have never had any parasites or diseases, they have been raised from hatching eggs and have had no contact with other chickens or second hand equipment, you are welcome to have a look at them when collecting the ark. It comfortably housed my 5 large fowl hens who had additional free range access to a large run but I now have too many hens for this ark so they have all been moved into a much larger purpose made enclosure which has made this ark redundant. It has bars each end so that it can be moved to fresh ground as and when needed. This is a substantial chicken ark not a lightweight inferior Chinese import that won't last a winter and will require at least two strong people to lift it (I can not help with this unfortunately due to health problems). That said one person can shuffle it around the garden easily enough one end at a time. You will also need a trailer or large van for transport if you want to move it as it is, there is no way that it will fit in a car boot or on a roof rack. I'm not sure if it will dismantle because it came fully made. The ark is put together with screws not nails so it is possible to unscrew it into pieces, however I'm not sure if it will unscrew into separate panels so it's probably better to transport it whole. NEWLY BUILT LARGE CHICKEN COOP/HEN HOUSE/RABBIT HUTCH... in

My wife purchased a chicken coop online for which she paid over £100. On arrival we took it over to my daughters, unpacked it & found that it was made of that cheap nasty wood that is passed off for fence paneling. It was cracking up before we had even started to assemble it & would have blown away in a strong wind. It was less than half the size of this one & was total rubbish! It was duly returned as being totally unsatisfactory, so hence the following. Please read on. I made this chicken coop/hen house for my daughter but just before finishing it my daughter lost the land that she was renting, so now it has to find a new home. The coop is made out of 20mm thick tongue & grooved floor board throughout, the frame being made of 65mm x 45mm wood. All wood is new except the ramp. It has been designed so that it can be taken apart for transportation i.e. Each side is a separate panel which has it's own frame, the frames then being fastened together with coach bolts. The roof is also a separate panel with it's own frame & is easily lifted off/on. The legs are pre-drilled to take extensions to give more height & so that the extensions can be of any length to suit uneven ground. There is a large door (as pic) on the one side to make for easy access/cleaning etc. There are two sliding vents (as pics) one in the door & one in the opposite wall. The vents are covered on the inside with galvanized mesh. The entrance/exit for the chickens is by way of a counter balanced sliding door. This can be left in any position between fully up & fully down. Useful if more ventilation is required. There are four nesting boxes on the rear wall (as pics) these contain four bowls as I'm advised that this is a nice easy way to keep things clean. There is a drop down lid (as pics) to the nesting box supported by heavy duty galvanized chain in the down position. Nest box lid is lockable using a padlock to the fitted hasp & eye. (Nesting box can be taken off for transportation.) The main door is also lockable using a padlock through the bolt eye. The roof of the coop & nesting box have been covered with new roofing felt. The exterior has been painted with three coats of Ronseal (does what is says on the tin) Fence Life paint, which they boast a 5 year protection guarantee. Inside the coop is a perch arrangement that just hooks on to the wall. The perch will go with the coop if required or you can use your own. A new piece of cushion flooring has been placed on the floor, this can go with the coop or not as required. Measurements are 150 x150 cm. Height at highest point is 150 cm.
