Beautiful, immaculate solid oak table and four solid oak chairs. Table height: 29 and a half inches, width: 36 inches, length: 63 inches. The table top can be removed for easy transportation or storage. I have to move to smaller accommodation, so there will be less room for this gorgeous item, which was made by a master carpenter. Sorry, I can't take less than £860. (Will otherwise keep, despite cramped conditions!)

Hand Painted Vintage Oak Dining Table and Chairs

I've stripped and sanded down this solid oak dining table, and hand painted it in Rust-Oleum Antique White, chalky finish furniture paint. It now looks stunning and would look fabulous in a period dining room. I have also finished the six dining chairs, also solid oak, in the same paint. I decided not to wax finish the paintwork, thereby making it a simple task if someone wishes to repaint in a different colour. The top has been sealed with Danish oil. The table measures 195cm long x 152 wide x 75cm high. When the two leafs are dropped the table measures 52cm wide. The middle leaf has a slight split, which we've clamped underneath and which cannot be seen. The cushions and covers are from Marks and Spencer, these are included in the sale. I purchased this in the late 70's from a local craftsman. Made from Somerset wych elm this is a heavy table with dowelled legs & wooden brackets securing the top. It is hand signed underneath & I have the original receipts. Size 60" x 29" Top is over 1" thick The four matching ladder back chairs were purchased at the same time and are from the same maker and in the same wood! The pictures are a good representation of the deep rich honey colour.
