COLLECTION OF 8 OLD GLASS BOTTLES, (round about years?)These were unearthed from a pit near Edinburgh, and are believed to date from round about the end of the 19th / beginning of the 20th centuries.Rough descriptions follow for each of them (the numbers refer to the numbers in the photo):1. Dark green ‘dimple’ bottle, h.21cm, w.16cm, d.10cm.No writing. Complete with original screw stopper.2. Brown, round, tapered, h.21cm, diam.10cm at shoulder, 8.5cm at bottom.Moulded writing: Front has “Lysol” in a triangle, followed by “TRADE MARK”; underneath the bottom it says: “SCHULKE & MAYR / HAMBURG”3. Light green flask-type bottle, h.26cm, diam.11cm. at the widest.No writing. Bottom is rounded, not flat, so does not stand up.4. Light green round, straight-sided bottle, h.23cm, diam.7.5cm.Threaded neck, but no screw-stopper.Moulded writing: Round the shoulder it says: “JAMES DUNBAR LIMITED” (twice); and round the bottom it says: “ALBION ROAD EDINBURGH” (twice).5. Light green square, straight-sided bottle, h.22cm, w.=d.=7.5cm.Moulded writing on three of the four sides: One side says: “PATERSON’S”; one says: “GLASGOW”; one has a stylised “CAMP COFFEE ESS & CHICORY”; (the 4th side is plain.)The bottom is slightly indented, and there are some moulded numbers there.6. Brown, round, tapered, h.12cm, diam.7.5cm at shoulder, 6cm at bottom.Half the side is smooth, the other half has ‘pimples’ all over itMoulded writing round the shoulder: On the ‘pimples’ side it says: “LYSOL”; on the plain side it says: “BOOTS ALL BRITISH”.7. Brown, round neck, flat sided (no doubt where labels once went), h.7.5cm, w.7.5cm at widest, d.3.5cm.Moulded writing, on each of the rounded sides, says: “2 oz BOVRIL LIMTED”; and additionally, on one side only, it says: “F.
