This Limited edition Loncase clock is a wonderful and charming hand made precision clock with a the black forest Franz Hermle Movement. It is in perfect working order and clean and comes complete with certificates of authentication. please see photos The clock has 3 different chimes one of which is the same as Big Ben and comes with two brand new pendulums (not the one pictured) which is for another clock. one is a brass stick with polished bob and the other is a wooden pendulum that can be be painted to math the case comes with a brushed brass bob. The clock is quite heavy heavy and will require two people and a suitable vehicle to transport it, although it can be dismantled. This clock is a genuine antique 30 hour longcase clock by a famous maker. The movement is of superior construction with thick brass plates, 4 large brass pillars, and chain winding mechanism. 30 hour clocks only take 10 seconds to wind and are ideally placed on a wall close to an activity performed everyday such as drawing curtains. It has just had an oil service and bees wax polish. George Honeybone came from a family of over 100 years and 4 generations of clockmakers in Fulford, Gloucestershire. He was born in the son of Richard Honeybone. George worked in Fairford from to , and this clock dates from c. The Fairford History Society states: "Honeybone clocks are now much sought after today, particularly in the Cotswolds as they represent fine examples of local craftsmanship and a link to Fairford's past". This clock is particularly attractive with a painted dial showing rural scenes, glazed hood door with old glass, swan neck pedament above with brass finial. Lead weight and period brass pendulum. Woodwork is reclaimed from a redundant church pew purchased from our village church from which base and upright have so far been constructed as per photo. Top & door needs making from remaining timber and brass ware which will be supplied to the buyer. Note NO glass is included in this sale as this will need to be cut to fit the completed case once made. There is a brass plaque recording the history of the church pew ready to be fitted to the completed clock case. All in I've spent best part of £1k on this so far so it is priced reasonably.
