Gibson Les Paul Classic Flame Top Trades considered

Overall good condition Gibson Les Paul Classic in Heritage Cherry. Great top on this one! Great player and set up with 10's. This guitar is really bright and punchy acoustically. I have had the electric redone removing the stock coil taps and also the mini switch that was in place of a bridge tone pot. It now has the traditional Gibson set up of two volumes and two tones. proper CTS pots and orange drop capacitors fitted. Capacitor values are 15uf in the neck and.33uf in the bridge. It nails the bluesbreaker tone with these installed. The bridge tone pot hole had to be widened as it was originally a small hole with a mini switch so needed to be modified to fit a CTS pot. This was done professionally. Wiring has been done in a vintage 50's style with high quality metal braided wire. Still has the stock 57 classic pickups fitted and they sound great on this guitar. I have also changed the machine heads to some nice groves and the nut has been changed to a bone one. Comes with the original brown Gibson case that has a few battle scares but works perfectly. Fair price on this, the new versions cost £ and they only have a plain top. Might consider a trade depending on what. Not interested in anything pointy. I'm mostly interested in Rickenbacker 's, and Gibson semi's. Really nice guitar, just more of an SG guy myself! All original except straplocks added and output socket/mount replaced. Made in the Samick Factory in , before Epiphone moved production to China. The Samick years are known for excellent quality compared to later years. Has a beautiful and rather rare birds eye Maple top. Excellent condition for age - usual wear and tear. Couple of knocks on the side of the body, worst of which I've tried to show in the photos. Frets are not worn, electronics are good and action is low. Excellent condition Epiphone Black Beauty, arguably the best Epi Les Paul for years. I asked Bob at GuitarGuitar in Edinburgh to install a Gibson Classic 57 pickup in the neck position, as I was using it mainly for jazz. But you could place that pickup in the bridge position, should you want. I include the original neck pickup, now in the Gibson case. The neck is wonderful, no dull spots, and the fingerboard is a dark rosewood. Everything works as it should. Bob also did a Pro Setup, so you should have no problems playing this guitar straight away. Gig bag included in price. These guitars cost £599 without the £90 Gibson pickup. Gibson Les Paul Studio (gold edition) with Gibson Hardcase

Hi there, For sale is a Gibson Les Paul Studio from , built in Nashville, USA. Superb example of a 20 year old Les Paul studio in stunning wine red finish. This is the gold edition which features gold hardware rather than the more common chrome. Overall, the guitar is in fantastic condition for its age with one or two minor dings as shown in the pictures - these are to the rear and near bottom side at the strap button, both are not visible when playing the guitar. Built quality on this is second to none. Made in an era when Gibson took more care about things and this is reflected when compared to the newer versions. These are very desirable examples. Typical Gibson construction: Solid one piece mahogany body with carved maple top and set mahogany neck. As I said before, this is old school Gibson quality so there's None of this modern 'weight relief' garbage - the thing weighs an absolute ton and offers great sustain. The 22 fret mahogany set neck has a lovely rosewood fret board with pearloid inlays as standard on LP's. Frets are nice and level with many years of playing left in them - there no need for any re-fretting any time soon! Pickups are the Gibson hot ceramic set - 496R in the neck, 498T in the bridge. They give much more bite than vintage PAF's or modern Burstbuckers but are versatile for all playing styles. I'd say it's a solid 8/10, especially for its age with no excessive damage. The headstock cap is pristine and not cracked/weathered like is common with LP's as time go's on. Hardware has light tarnishing as to be expected. Original black pickguard is included. Comes with a genuine Gibson custom shop case with purple velvet interior included, these are circa £180 alone. Prices to sell. You'll struggle to get one of these with a case for any less than £600 and modern Studio's of lesser quality are around £900 in stores. I'm open to offers or part ex plus cash my way, let me know what you've got to offer. I'd be interested in Ibanez RG's/Iron label's and Fenders - USA only or anything Jim Root Fender.
