Does needs stitching see pics around the front plus the odd mark and could do with a stitch to secure the girth straps back to the material at very top see pic. GFS Fieldhouse Close Contact GP Saddle 17" Black Wide fit

Selling for a friend. This is a very versatile, comfortable GP saddle in nice condition. Not quite sure of its age but there are no particular signs of wear apart from a tiny bit of fading on the top of the cantle and a bit of "wrinkling" on the pommel. It had three very sound girth straps with buckle guards each side plus webbing to add a point strap if required. It measures 10" from D to D and has moulded panels for a close contact fit on a wider horse. It is also not particularly forward cut, possibly to suit a big shoulder. It has grained leather skirts and flaps with soft padding over average size knee rolls. Available to view/ try / collect near Horsham in West Sussex or can be posted for £20. Read More

Black English made GP/Event   saddle. Made by GFS. Good quality, sought after saddles. British standard on the stirrup bar and serial number stamped on sweatflap.  Measures 17" from stud to centre of cantle.  Measures 9" across the dee's. This is a nice wide fit. Flap measures 15" from stirrup bar to bottom.  Tree is sound. The stitching is strong and girth straps are sound and solid. Normal signs of use. Flair air flocked panels. Absolutely gutted to be selling this saddle.  I bought it with my new mare, but buy in haste and repent at leisure.  This is a lovely deep seated GFS brown saddle I would say two tone.  Lovely soft leather, very comfortable and very secure.  I am not that confident a rider and I even did some jumps in it.  But, however I have got it home and relised that it does not fit me  and wasn't that great a fit on May so hence I need a new one.   GFS or Fieldhouse as they used to be known is one of my favourites and is a real bargain for someone as I paid a lot more it.  This is Medium Wide fitting, the flap from the stirrup bar is 15.5 inches and from the centre curve of each D ring is 9.5 inches.  No damage in excellent condition with just normal wear and tear from stirrups, girths etc. If you would like to collect from either WR1 or WR5 it can be arranged or am happy to send by courier.  If you would like any further details please do not hesitate to send me a question.  Please trust me that this saddle is absolutely stunning and worth every penny I'm asking for it and should be going to £400 at least...................... 0
