WW1 Era Leather Riding Whip Antler Handle Great Condition   Here we have a rare WW1 Era Leather riding whip, the handle is of Antler with brass separating the sections, this would have been silver plated but this has been worn off over the years of polish and use. This is a whip has been used and cared for over very many years, it was never a prop or decorative item but used at it should have been and cared for as an item of riding equipment should be.   Condition: Excellent just showing the signs of use with the patination that only comes with years of use and care.   I will send it by tracked and signed for courier at a cost of £5.00, Very well packed. "A Vintage Bamboo Hunting or Riding Crop" T his crop measures 23.5 inches from the end of the shaft to the heel of the handle. It is in sound used condition. The nicely shaped authentic stag antler handle measures 5 inches from front to back, with cross-hatching on its underside, and it is firmly attached to the shaft. T he interesting and unusual sterling silver  ferrule is of cleverly plaited silver wire, tightly bound with no fraying, loose strands or unravelling - very sturdy. T he shaft is of nicely figured bamboo cane, again in good condition, with no splits or cracks with a nice original patina. The leather keeper is unusual in being constructed of two "leaves" of leather, both strong and supple and securely attached to the shaft with neat whipping. T his vintage, probably Edwardian, good quality and very individual hunting crop is robust with bags of character, and will give good service in the field or the show ring for many years to come. Ideal Christmas gift for the sporting equestrianist! Details about   Antique hunt whip with lash

This is a vintage hunt whip with a plaited leather lash. It has a horn handle with criss cross carving underneath. I think the collar is steel -it is not hall marked.  The collar has a small crack which appears to be superficial. It does not affect its integrity. I have tried to show this in the photos.It is wooden not plaited leather like the swaine ones are. It has a few marks and scuffs obviously because of its age and use. The binding is original as far as I'm aware, still in very good condition and is sound. It measures approx 21" along the length of the cane. Mum collected walking sticks and crops and other than the fact she had it for several years I don't know any more about it. Thanks for looking
