We have here the highly regarded Genesis Day One Disc in arguably the best colour scheme they did. With disc brakes and Shimano Alfine 8 speed hub and brifter/brake lever gear change; not to be confused with the non-disc version, or bar end shifter or single speed version. As steel frames go, they don't come much better than this. 58cm frame. A very comfortable bike that will easily take 32mm plus tyres with still room for proper mudguards and a rack if you so wish. Awesome stopping power, and almost maintenance free gears makes this the ultimate commuter, or cool urban steed. Good condition as you can see from pics with all original parts (except pedals, I have put some cheap plastic ones on just so buyer can ride it home). Was £900 new, so grab a bargain. Genesis Day One Singlespeed CX Disc Bike 54cm

Medium Day One for sale. Bought last October as I decided that I wanted a cross bike for some dirt roads and wet weather commutes. Ridden in the Pentlands a few times, a couple of gravel rides and some wet weather commuting so hasn’t seen a lot of use. Spec is as follows: - Genesis Frame and fork - Alex XD Lite Wheelset - Genesis cranks (42x18) - Avid BB7 disks - Genesis finishing kit - Reliable touring tyres for commuting There are a number of aesthetic marks in the paint from general use but no rust, dents or dings. The only thing that needs attention are the bearings in the front hub as there is a little bit of play, however this is a cheap and quick job in a bike shop or at home if you have the bearings. The bike does not include pedals although if really needed I may be able to find the terrible stock ones that came with it. It is a very comfortable bike for commuting and perfect for blasting around the Peatlands on gravel or single track. Coming from a mountain bike background I was very surprised at how confident this bike is at descending. Cannondale SS 29er with Alfine 8 speed hub. Think Bad Boy but better

Cannondale SS 29er with an Alfine 8 speed conversion. Less than a year old. This bike was originally a single speed mountain bike but with the Alfine hub and slick tyres it's one of the fastest commuter bikes around. It'll quite happily go up and down kerbs on the daily commute but I often do mile rides on it. It also has an upgraded shorter stem to give it quicker handling Size is XL. I'm 6ft tall and it's spot on. The RRP for the original bike was £799 and the Alfine conversion was over £350. It also has better brakes than it was originally fitted with. The original Stem and Tyres will be included in the sale price. I could remove the Alfine Hub and return it to the original single speed set up and re-negotiate the price if you wanted.
