When needed the tow bar is released from it's bracket and extends telescopically and attaches to bracket already in place on handlebar post of child's bike, lifting the front wheel of the ground. With quick release fixings. it only takes a few minutes to attach and tow child's bike when child is tired allowing child to enjoy the ride without having to even steer. I have found this device incredibly safe and useful and has got us home several times when child was too tired! When attached the towbar pivots in all directions making cornering at speed safe.
