This is an original French Provisional Morbier clock Circa .The clock is intact has original pendulum and weights and comes with key. Inside the clock it is dated and Signed.The clock is not working but all the bits are there!.These clocks were made in the French countryside by hand from untill the outbreak of WW1.The clock is large and the weights very heavy.The pendulum unfolds. This is a Bulle Clock as manufactured by Maurice Fabre-Bulle the serial number is: which, according to recorded information suggests it was manufactured in . The dial is inscribed Bulle-Clock Brevete S.G.D.G Patented France. There is also a brass plaque on the base with the same information. This clock has been in my family for at least 50 years. It is in need of some minor work to restore it to full working order. This is a nice Edwardian period Mahogany school/Railway Clock.The clock is working and has key but has no front glass.The dial face is about 9 inches wide and the back spring movement marked DUFA P12.The clock has pendulum but I do not think this original to clock.The wooden case is in good condition as is the front painted dial.This is a nice looking small clock for ones home or office.The clock has period key and the movement is 8 day.I think this is a French or German made clock.Once a replacement front glass has been put back in this will be a great little clock. Clock French Style Lyre clock. in Northampton

Most attractive fairly modern version about 15yrs old of a porcelain lyre clock. The clock is a reproduction of the clock that is said to have belonged to Queen Marie Antoinette the original clock being made in Severes porcelain during the late 18th century. The clock is 16inches in overall height and the oval base measures 4 inches at its widest point. The clock case is decorated in a rich deep blue colour with lovely areas of gilding all over the porcelain case which stands on 3 round and decorated gilded feet the case top is surmounted by a sunburst ornament which encompasses a ladies face' plus a large swag underneath the ornament The movement is mechanical (key supplied) and rings the time on 2 bells on the half hour and the hour as some of the older French clocks do. Would suit any home, antique of the future needs to be seen to be appreciated. I have picture of the original clock for comparison.

The slate in excellent condition with just a few nibbles hardly noticeable. Nice verdigree patina on the brass. Has a good French movement with the very desirable visible escapement.
