LARGE BEAUTIFUL EDWARDIAN FRENCH CARRIAGE CLOCK, CIRCA

FOR SALE A BEAUTIFUL, LARGE AND SUBSTANTIAL FRENCH BRASS CARRIAGE CLOCK, CIRCA , AND IS BELIEVED TO BE MADE BY HENRI JACOT. THIS 8-DAY CLOCK STRIKES ON THE HALF AND HOUR VIA A GENTLE BUT DISTICTIVE SOUND. IT IS IN VERY GOOD CONDITION ALL AROUND WITH NO DAMAGE OR RESTORATION. THE MOVEMENT WORKS FINE AND THE CLOCK KEEPS GOOD TIME. THERE IS A LITTLE STIFFNESS ON THE WIND BUT A GOOD CLEAN / SERVICE SHOULD SORT THIS OUT. THIS CLOCK WHICH COMES WITH THE ORIGINAL KEY, HAS BEEN IN MY FAMILY FOR MANY YEARS AND IS CONSIDERED AN HEIRLOOM. ANTIQUE FRENCH VERNI BRONZE MINIATURE CARRIAGE CLOCK WORKING

This is a wonderful working French miniature carriage clock with Verni Bronze inscribed to the base with the original movement present in the case. The case is in a lovely clean condition, as is the face of the clock. The clock winds up easily with the winder and the movement / time can be set using the centre turner but is a little fiddly, as you would expect with a miniature. There’s a tiny piece of glass missing from one corner but otherwise in great condition for the age of the clock.
