Sony Hi8 pro camera for sale as spares or repair including all the accessories including two battery's and charger, head cleaner and various leads and aluminium carry case etc.I would imagine that someone in the know would be able to get working correctly, everything seems to power up ok just can't seem to get a picture, did get a grainy one. There are some tapes which have been used not certain if they have been wiped clean or what's on them, I will include if wanted but cannot guarantee the content as this was not my camera originally so it is buyers option. Having been asked about delivery I have now added the option, but as most couriers won't cover damage to electronic goods, the risk of loss or damage is up to the winning bidder, I would prefer collect in person but the choice is yours

Vintage Sony CCD-VE Handycam Hi8 sholder mount camcorder

Sony CCD-VE Hi8 (Top of the handycam range circa ) I have three of these lovely cameras, one of which is pictured here. One of them was aquired for spares only. The other two are not working as such but may be able to be repaired and made fully serviceable with a modest amount of effort (if you have the skills) or expense if you need to resort to a third party repair service. The listing is for either one of the better examples (both almost pristine cosmetically). The other two could be made available to the purchaser of the first if desired by them for an additional cost that would be agreed. Virtually immaculate cosmetic condition. One powers up and seems very close to a working condition but does need new belts and probably some further electronic component replacement. The batteries I have charge but I think they are weak as camera no.1 does not run and has low battery indicator flashesing then shuts down. Unit no.2 was repairs a few years ago and was working, but I ran it off a home made external battery pack and one day connected it with reverse polarity and it stopped working. So this is probably just a safeguard fuse or a component in the main power circuit at the rear of the camera that has blown. Feel free to ask any questions Collection in person is obviously best as a choice can then be made by the buyer as to which of the two units they would like. Vintage Sony CCD-VE Hi8 camcorder - Not fully workng

Sony CCD-VE Hi8 (Top of the handycam range at the time - circa ) I have three of these lovely beasts! The listing is to secure ownership of one of them. One is pictured here. The second is in a similar great cosmetic condition. One is only good for spares and has a couple of parts missing.Either of the better two should be able to be made into working examples with modest effort and expenditure. However they are sold as needing repair. As stated, this listing is for either of the better examples (both almost pristine cosmetically) The other two might become available to the buyer of the first at additional cost which could be agreed later if parts are required and are found to be difficult to obtain. One powers up and may even work with a power supply that can deliver the correct amps. The batteries I have do charge but I think are too weak (due to age or wrong rating) as the camera does not run but low battery indicator flashes then it shuts down.
