Vintage Sony CCD-VE Handycam Hi8 sholder mount camcorder

Sony CCD-VE Hi8 (Top of the handycam range circa ) I have three of these lovely cameras, one of which is pictured here. One of them was aquired for spares only. The other two are not working as such but may be able to be repaired and made fully serviceable with a modest amount of effort (if you have the skills) or expense if you need to resort to a third party repair service. The listing is for either one of the better examples (both almost pristine cosmetically). The other two could be made available to the purchaser of the first if desired by them for an additional cost that would be agreed. Virtually immaculate cosmetic condition. One powers up and seems very close to a working condition but does need new belts and probably some further electronic component replacement. The batteries I have charge but I think they are weak as camera no.1 does not run and has low battery indicator flashesing then shuts down. Unit no.2 was repairs a few years ago and was working, but I ran it off a home made external battery pack and one day connected it with reverse polarity and it stopped working. So this is probably just a safeguard fuse or a component in the main power circuit at the rear of the camera that has blown. Feel free to ask any questions Collection in person is obviously best as a choice can then be made by the buyer as to which of the two units they would like.
