Fender Eric Clapton Signature Stratocaster (Torino Red / Maple)

This guitar was purchased new by me in May from Vintage and Modern Guitars in Thame, Oxon (I still have original receipt). Its in superb condition, Serial Number US, and is totally original. It was set up by Phil at V&M and has recently had a new set of Fender Super Bullet 9's fitted and a new 9V battery for the mid-boost pre-amp. Overall condition is excellent and has never been out of the house - only being marked down by some very faint buckle rash on the back of the guitar (a fateful moment of playing it once standing up at home shortly after purchase - I was devastated when I discovered it!). Nothing too much so pretty hard to see in the photographs. Only other matter of note is a tiny ding on the front next to the upper side of the pick guard. This is a really lovely guitar with soft 'V' neck profile with satin finish, noiseless pickups and the master TBX tone control and +25dB active mid-boost features which are unique to this guitar. The tremolo is still blocked off with tremolo bar and retaining spring still in the case. Complete with its original Fender tweed case and all original case candy including strap, lead, swing tags etc. Welcome to view by appt . Fender Clapton Strat Signature Torino Red

For sale is my beloved fender stratocaster. I bought it from a great guy who had used it a few times this year. This is an eric clapton artist series strat from in Torino red. It plays and sounds incredible. Probably one of the best and versatile strats on the market. It has a soft V maple neck, vintage bridge with wide spacing, but a modern 9.5 radius neck. It comes standard with vintage noiseless pickups, TBX tone circuit and mid boost (25db). I can tell you that it is great for dialing in that perfect tone. Roll the closest tone knob from it's standard notched position (5, not 10) towards 10, and it cuts bass and ads treble, and the opposite from 5 down to 0. If you turn the outer tone knob from 0 upward it boosts mid and treble frequencies from 0-25db. (0 is normal). I can tell you that subtle changes with these knobs can go from vintage strat to punchy modern tones. It is in good condition. Slight wear on back (buckle rash, and a light scratch near trem cavity on the back. The pickguard gas started to go towards vintage eggshell I'm colour. But you can easily replace with a new one if you want it 50s white. I think it looks cool! I'm selling this as I already have a black one which is older and I need to pay for a wedding! But... Amazing guitar, professionally set up by Rockfield Guitar Engineering in London. Plays like a dream. Clapton took a vintage Strat and basically hot rodded it with improved radius board, bigger frets and staggered tuners. Upgraded Fender hot noiseless pick ups and Clapton 25dB midboost make this a very powerful sounding instrument. Journeyman Relic finish is really cool and gives the guitar lots of vintage mojo. I have a second hard case which I will also include in sale, along with certificates and case candy. The guitar has hardly been played. Fingerprints in pictures will be polished off before sale!

Fender American artist series Stratocaster - Eric Clapton 'Blackie'

For sale is my beloved Fender American artist series stratocaster. This is an eric clapton artist series strat 'Blakie' from . It plays and sounds incredible. It has some swirls in the finish and some fret wear. There is some patina building up on the vintage bridge, but ads to its charm. Currently it is set up with 10s and the term is floating. I can add the block back in if you want. The G&c case is not in the best condition but it is original. I can supply with the modern square fender case instead if you gig a lot (it's much lighter and better for protection). I have a Torino red Clapton strat from if you prefer a newer version. But this is the classic 'blackie'. Probably one of the best and versatile strats on the market. It has a soft V maple neck, vintage bridge with wide spacing, but a modern 9.5 radius neck.
