Second gain control controls the amount of compression. Turning this control up leads to tighter more modern sound. Turning it down gives an open more vintage sound. Selling my 40w FENDER HOT ROD DELUXE III and a matching hardcase. all valve (Pre Amp Tubes: 3 x 12AX7, Power Tubes: 2 x 6L6) Speaker: 1-12" Celestion G12P-80, 8 ohm Speaker The Amp is 2 years old, has been gigged a few times but mostly played at home, has never been pushed or used loud (I never went past 4 on the master) and never drove it really hard, played mostly clean. Valves are in good condition, it sounds amazing and works perfectly.
