I am looking for a pony to join our family, permanent experienced home awaits with 2 others for company. They need to be: Around 13hh-14hh able to carry a small Adult (9st) Be safe enough for my children to ride 7&8) one of whom is a competent little rider the other a complete novice/nervous Hack alone on roads, through woods, open fields etc without any ifs or buts Turn out happily with my other 2 (1 gelding one filly) 100% to handle on the ground No bucking, rearing, napping, spinning Forward going and off the leg but not sharp! Work nicely in the school I don't want anything that is particularly green or needing bringing back into work. Will be used predominantly as a happy hacker but as daughter gets older may do more. Dexter is a brilliant pony, a real family friend. He has taught my children to ride and has been a real character to boot. He has a lovely balance of being interested and forwards without being strong. He doesn't pull and has never bolted. In the last few years he has helped our foster kids learn to ride with children from as little as 18 months having their first rides on him. He has also learnt a few tricks and can kiss and smile on command:) He is barefoot and has no issues with his feet, even when worked every day. Seeking a super safe family pony. HH. Sorry no heavy cobs! Looking for a genuine allrounder to look after my mum for me! Needs to be great to hack: alone, in company, in open spaces, at all paces and with all kinds of traffic including tractors and lorries. Something I can rely on to keep mum safe even when my pony has his silly head on! Needs to be safe and sane even if not ridden every day. Easy to handle as we’re all short! Something that is a general allrounder and can do basic schooling and jumping to attend local shows would be a bonus as I could then ride them to keep them exercised for her (and have some fun!) but isn’t a necessity.
