A Large Early Victorian Carved Mahogany Fireside Arm Chair Great Shape A large early Victorian carved mahogany fireside armchair, upholstered in a red velvet material, and the chair having a great shape to it. The chair frame is made from mahogany which has a good colour and grain patination. The chair is formed with the back being shaped with the top rail being carved with a blind fret carving and then with a rounded to each side. The front of the chair is formed with it having carved and bent wooden supports which have fluted carvings and again roundels and circular and lines designs. The front legs of the chair are turned tapered and fluted again. The back legs are shaped backwards. The front of the chair is bow fronted. The chair is upholstered in a red velvet material, which has diamond shaped designs on it. The arm supports are also upholstered. The chair is real comfy even after all these years and it dates to around . Size Height 40” Width ” Depth 39.5” Condition The condition of the chair is very good, can be used as is or could be re-upholstered to whatever material suits, it has been re-upholstered at some point already. The frame is very good with light scuffs, scratches and marks all down to age. It has newer casters on it which probably should be removed. Read More

It also has evidence of white paint under the dark bluey air force grey colour. which gives it a very French Shabby Chic appearance and would be perfect if you're looking for something unique and interesting with lots of character and not without being a great useful piece too, having very large deep dovetailed drawers and work surface area! The base of each table legs has been covered and fixed with a metal sheeting held in with metal rivets, probably to protect the wooden legs when floors were constantly cleaned. Please note we have built up just to show how it goes. It is not fitted properly. Starting from left, a double wardrobe with 3 drawers below. Then a single wardrobe with a small internal shelf. Then a double door unit, then another double door unit, then a single with internal small shelf and then on the right a double wardrobe. There is nothing to cover the bottom however if you scrap the single on the right and fit the rights door to the right side of the double then that would be fine. There are light fittings on each side below the 2 middle units. So total size left to right is 447cm. It stands at 210cm. Its depth is 60cm. Will be dismantled soon. Collection from Bedworth or can deliver for fuel if local. On other sites also.
