Ex TV, Electrical Engineer or Similar Mentor Desired

As a recently Retired Person, whom has time on his hands, who is a novice with a new hobby of 3D CNC constructing, 3D building, making and Testing electronic circuits, or PCB's Kits, interested in talking to people with similar interests. I do have some basic electronic knowledge, for instance I can recognise diodes, capacitors, resistors, switches, pc stuff etc.. but have a collection of some older parts plus come by some more modern electronic components which I simply can't identify, as they have no markings, so I would like a more knowlegeable person, than I, who could possibly identify these for me or guide me of their use in circuits. (I am working on producing Photos however Win 7 no longer has a photo viewer compatible to my camera included in OS). I am also learning how to repair other electronic stuff, which may or may not work, but as an absolute electronics repair novice, with a strong interest in Computers, Etc., music circuits, however with some items there is a slight risk that I may fail or they maybe the same after trying.
