Edwardian wash stand on original wheels. Marble top in good condition for age (see photos). This has been painted (not by me) in a soft blue/green chalk paint that matches the tiled back beautifully. A lovely solid unit, a real statement piece that could be used almost anywhere in the house. Large cupboard underneath for storage. Measurements (approximate): Width cms) Depth cms) Height cms) Front of unit cms) Rear of unit to top of tile back at the ends Note: The marble and tiled top removes for transport but is very heavy and will need two strong people to collect and a large vehicle. Antique washstand dated inside, freshly refurbished in Annie Sloan French Linen with Provence internally for a bright contrasting effect. With a delicate stencil motif of a bird in flight painted on the cupboard door. The washstand has been lightly distressed to give a slight worn aged look. Finished with two coats of clear wax to protect & shine. The base of the cupboard has been lined with heatproof mat & a pretty oilcloth, cut to fit which can be removed if preferred. The washstand has a grey marble worktop which has lovely characteristic marble rings & striking patination. The upstand has been fitted with regency style tiles, with a beautiful original copper towel rail on one side with a gorgeous dull patina. The legs sit on four ceramic castors and the marble top lifts off easily for transportation. I can deliver for fuel cost, if the washstand will not fit in your car. Really sad to let it go but I would like to replace it with a French dresser.
