Very pretty Edwardian display cabinet in excellent condition. Measurements 179cm high, 107 cm wide and 35cm deep (excluding bow fronted middle section which is hard to measure). Antique Music Cabinet (Edwardian – mid 20c), good condition, with 3 drawers & glass door.

This antique Music Cabinet was made in between the Edwardian and mid-20th century periods and is in very good condition for its age. With 3 opening drawers and a glass door above these (see photos). Measurements: H 41in (104cm), W 21in (53.5cm), D 15.5in (39.5cm) A family piece, which fits in with the period mentioned, and only one of two pieces a dealer took any interest in a while ago. Now for sale as space is required, and would be better suited in a larger location and with an owner who would continue to look after this fine antique. There is the odd mark and blemish here and there due to use & age. Such as the thin scratch (nothing worse) at the top of the front right leg about 2.25in / 5.5cm in length. Also, a small hole the size of a 5p piece in the lower back panel - not visible when the cabinet is up against the wall. The 3 drawers require some form of waxing, and the bottom drawer requires some minor work for it to close fully. The above minor details can all be rectified / repaired reasonably easily by the right person(s) - if required, as none affects its use (possibly the fully closing drawer)? Any queries please ask. An Edwardian Carved Oak Mirror Fronted Compactum Fitted Interior A Large Edwardian carved oak mirror fronted compactum wardrobe, with fitted interior. The compactum is made from oak, which has a good colour and grain patination. The compactum is formed with the left hand section being set with a full length bevelled edged dressing mirror door. Opening the door it is fitted with various clothes pegs and a rail, and a shoe storage area at the base. The right hand section is formed with it having two large cupboard doors at the top which have panelled doors. These open to revile a shelf and good storage area. Under this is an open space for storing items. Below this is a chest of drawers which has two short top drawers raised above two full length graduated drawers. The compactum is raised on a caddy plinth and has a shaped and stepped cornice. The compactum has all its original fittings, and handles. There is an original makers label on the back for Christopher Pratt & Son Cabinet Makers Bradford. The compactum dates to around and splits into various section for the ease of moving. Size Height 83.5” Width 69.5” Depth 22.5” Condition The condition of the compactum is excellent with light scratches, scuffs and marks.
