This is a beautiful early 20th century desk with three separate pieces of red tooled leather to top, and two banks of drawers either side, one being a double deep drawers for files. There is a central locking drawer with key for all valuables and the desk is in great condition with some markings and dents to the leather top consistent with age and use. Unearthed recently, is a turn of the century clerks desk, a simple and almost utilitarian in design, with narrow area for knees. It is constructed from thick pine frame with layer very thinly cut oak. It has been rubbed down and measured 48 cm wide by 80 cm long and it is 75 cm tall the top wood is 2 cm thick.
