Sunflower is a Dutch-barge style narrowboat, 63 feet long. Built by Dave Thomas in Braunston in , she is a classy boat with everything you need to live on board. 2.5 litre Perkins diesel engine.Suitable for cruising or for static living in a marina or on a mooring. Eberspacher 12v central heating, only 2 years old. Cruiser stern. Can be driven with the wheel or the tiller - you choose, and it's easy and quick to change from one to the other. Electric river anchor and winch. Her base plate is 20mm thick, sides and roof 6mm and 4mm respectively. All woodwork inside is solid wood with many unusual features. Sunflower has a fully functional galley with Vanette gas cooker (4 ring burners, oven and grill). There are three side hatches, a Morso squirrel multi-fuel burner, Zanussi Aquacycle washing machine (plumbed in), depth sounder so that you know how deep the water is under the hull, 240v ac and 12v dc sockets throughout, electric river anchor, 1 starter and 3 leisure batteries, Geko marine bowthruster with 2 batteries, a built-in (unstealable !) 3.7 KVA diesel generator, 250 W solar panel with controller and USB charging sockets, permanent double bed with storage underneath, double wardrobe. 57ft Dutch Barge Widebeam Liveaboard Houseboat in Huntingdon

For Sale Dutch Barge She is fitted out as a liveaboard boat, but can still be used as a cruiser/canal day or weekend boat. She is laid out for a couple as there is one double bedroom, shower room, living room, and galley/kitchen. This could be re-arranged if the buyer desired. I lived on her for 3 years, but due to relationship breakdown she is now for sale. She is 57ft x 11.5ft so she is a wide beam, which gives a lot more living space. She was recently valued at £ by a Dutch barge specialist (valuation report is available) but I am after a quick sale so am asking £. She could do with some work doing to her, the outside needs a good clean, and the deck could do with repainting, and internally there are a couple of edges that ideally need a little finishing off for her to look pristine, but I lived on her as she is with no issues. Included in the sale is everything seen in the pictures including bed frame, washing machine/dryer, convection oven and hob, wood burning stove, rear black canvas canopy made in , all buoys and ropes. She is lying at Hartford Marina near Huntingdon, so please contact them on for more information and viewings. 28ft Narrowboat liveaboard for sale. Wonderful starter boat!

This is a rare and wonderful starter boat in need of a few minor repairs, woodwork, stove, the waterheater, gas plumbing and engine are fine. A Good Springer hull, I lived on this boat for over 2.5years. It has a propeller I put on myself, (ask for details), and a reliable cc diesel engine in the wheelhouse, a unique point for me was that you can sit sheltered in a center wheel house driving the boat down the canal a bit like a car, watching other boaters get wet maneuvering their boat from the stern. An 8.5KW Renai waterheater, over 200Litres water capacity, a shower, 2 hob top oven/grill. A sink, both connected to an 8.5KW water heater with 2x 6kg gas bottle compartment in the bow, lasts approx. 4 weeks sparing use. Lighting is 4xcabins lights in the bedroom and living area, with a brighter light in the wheelhouse. All LED and a powerful spot light on the roof for cruising at night. There are 2x75Watt solar panels on the roof of the bedroom connected to a regulator. There is a split charge relay connected, so the starter battery is the priority but when charged flips onto charging the leisure batteries. There is an old 2 stroke petrol 50cc generator that I can leave with the boat. It comes with a boat folder, approx. 9year boat history including sales, maintenance, insurance and river registration. The stove and chimney needs some repair or replacing, there are a few options there and some wood needs repairing, electrics needs a look at but not relatively hard to fix. I have loved my time living aboard this vessel, name, port and brandy, reg. , you can change the registration you cant change the name, bad luck! unless you write the old name on a bottle and throw it in the hull. She came out of the water August and was fully re blacked / bitumen and the hull looked great (so I was told by the previous owner, although they didn't have a hill survey done so you may wish to do this?) Inside you will find a great single ottoman bed with loads of storage, cassette toilet, gorgeous living area with a log burner and plenty of comfortable living space.
