Yellow rose has been used as a live aboard for the last 8 years, it is a cosy boat and at 65ft it's a good liveable size. 28ft Narrowboat liveaboard for sale. Wonderful starter boat!

This is a rare and wonderful starter boat in need of a few minor repairs, woodwork, stove, the waterheater, gas plumbing and engine are fine. A Good Springer hull, I lived on this boat for over 2.5years. It has a propeller I put on myself, (ask for details), and a reliable cc diesel engine in the wheelhouse, a unique point for me was that you can sit sheltered in a center wheel house driving the boat down the canal a bit like a car, watching other boaters get wet maneuvering their boat from the stern. An 8.5KW Renai waterheater, over 200Litres water capacity, a shower, 2 hob top oven/grill. A sink, both connected to an 8.5KW water heater with 2x 6kg gas bottle compartment in the bow, lasts approx. 4 weeks sparing use. Lighting is 4xcabins lights in the bedroom and living area, with a brighter light in the wheelhouse. All LED and a powerful spot light on the roof for cruising at night. There are 2x75Watt solar panels on the roof of the bedroom connected to a regulator. There is a split charge relay connected, so the starter battery is the priority but when charged flips onto charging the leisure batteries. There is an old 2 stroke petrol 50cc generator that I can leave with the boat. It comes with a boat folder, approx. 9year boat history including sales, maintenance, insurance and river registration. The stove and chimney needs some repair or replacing, there are a few options there and some wood needs repairing, electrics needs a look at but not relatively hard to fix. I have loved my time living aboard this vessel, name, port and brandy, reg. , you can change the registration you cant change the name, bad luck! unless you write the old name on a bottle and throw it in the hull. Beautiful 47ft project boat, will make a great home for somebody whilst finishing her off (I've lived aboard for the past 6 months as she is, so you have many options). Gorgeous mooring in Keynsham, directly between Bath and Bristol, perfect for commuting, yet peaceful and tranquil enough to remind you that you're not in the city. She came out of the water August and was fully re blacked / bitumen and the hull looked great (so I was told by the previous owner, although they didn't have a hill survey done so you may wish to do this?) She has beautiful windows which come out fully, perfect in the summer! And great space front and back. Inside you will find a great single ottoman bed with loads of storage, cassette toilet, gorgeous living area with a log burner and plenty of comfortable living space. The kitchen is where the work (in my opinion) is needed. There is currently no running water. I haven't personally started the engine since I bought it 7 months ago as I've had no need, so if you're buying this as a cruiser please know what you're looking at before asking me loads of questions as I will not know the answer. 52' Tug Style narrowboat canal boat traditional back cabin.

52' tug style narrowboat, steel work by Martin Brooks in the style of a Les Allen boat. Bob Allen helped Martin out in the early stages of building this boat. It is fitted with a Sabb 2G marine engine with Sabbs heavy duty gear box. This boat is an unfinished project but all the big and hard work has been done its just the finishing off, the living room and kitchen are the most unfinished. The back cabin requires 2 draws under the bed, ticket draw and moulding fitting (supplied) otherwise is grained out and ready to go includes, cooking range, light fittings and cushions. The engine room needs some cupboard doors and a bit of pipe boxing and cable trunking, nothing too serious. The bathroom need a few chamfers plaining onto capping strips, front of shower tray capping strip and a skylight surround plus varnishing, comes with shower, sink and portapotty. There is a small wardrobe to the right of the bathroom door, to the left os the door is a unfired Kabola E3 diesel central heating boiler with some of the connecting plumbing done to the calorifier which is also connected to the engine. The kitchen has a full size marine gas cooker used once. A batts 12V marine fridge, there is a Morco gas water heater and an unfinished drank unit, the sink is installed, comes with oak shaker style wooden draw fronts and cupboard doors these are still wrapped and unfitted. The from of the boat is lined but unfitted as is under the tug deck area. There is a seaflex water tank and a water pump at the front of the boat and immediately above the water tank is a large tank which was intended for diesel heating fuel. The front of the boat has a gas locker. The gas system and water system both work and passed the last boat safety (expires ) The electric system comprised of a single alternator with a split charge relay 3 domestic battery and one engine battery. The wiring is in for the lights, fridge and water pump, with other wires routed through but not connected. Engine electrics have a small control panel with a fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge and volt meter. The fuel gauge can be switched between the main tank and the engine header tank/ day tank. There is a manual hand pump and an electric pump to fill the day tank. All this works. The engine had a comprehensive overhaul before being put into the boat, really just needs a coat of paint and a polish. The shafting to the rear of the boat is a carden shaft (lorry prop shaft) connected to a tail shaft that is supported in 2 thrust bearings. The hull was backed around around last September using 2pk epoxy pitch. Spare engine available. Only selling due to no time to finish and use, plus many more on the go projects. We have only been out and about just a handful of times it is fully useable and can be sailed away.
