Seriously Flashy ROR Showing/Dressage Prospect in Morpeth

Lightly Raced as Paddy the Plumber this stunning big moving gelding has fantastic presence. Making him a serious prospect for ROR classes. Paddy is 6 wks into our reschooling programme and has been brought back into work correctly after a a field break following a minor track injury. We have waited to advertise until we were sure he would remain sound under a full work load. Happily he is completely sound showing absaloutly no sign of issue. However, with the horses future welfare paramount we would prefer Paddy to go to a dressage/showing hack home to insure he has a long happy working career ahead. Total bargain for a well bred horse (Sadler's Wells lines) with fantastic potential if we could keep him we would!

Pretty 16.1h bay gelding Premier Jacks 7yr old. Jack's has been shown in hand since reitering from racing. Previous owner stated that he has hunted in his previous home. However when taken to the common in company I found him to be quite hot and can spin. This will probably improve the more he goes out. Previos owner stated he soon settled. He hacks alone and in company however can jog so would not recommend for a novice rider. He has seen coloured fences and not phased by them. Jack's is still a project so would suite an experienced rider. Jack's doesn't need to be ridden every day. He can be left for weeks on end and behave when ridden again. With the right person he would be more than capable of eventing. His flat work is really starting to come on and he will carry himself nicely. Teeth were done in August. Worming up to date. Currently only wearing front shoe and is happy. Price has been reduced as he needs to be doing a job. I just don't have time to do him justice due to bringing my own horse on. Read more

ROR eligible ex racehorse with AMAZING potential!

ROR eligible with unbelievable potential, willing attitude and a wonderful personality, Buddy is ALSO the most straightforward Thoroughbred you'll ever keep! Buddy is easy to catch, clip, load, farrier. He has been barefoot and 100% sound since I started training him - despite on and off road hacking, jumping, etc. He thrives living out and has kept weight through winter. He is less happy living in and will box walk. He hacks alone and in company and has led children's hacks. He takes everything in his stride: he will enjoy a leg stretch then work in an outline if you pick up both reins. He won his first dressage test with me, which was also his first time in an indoor school, with other horses and seeing a waterfall down one side of the school! Buddy is thriving in both his jumping and flatwork. He is comfortable jumping up to a metre and is ready to compete at Novice level dressage (sorry, pics out of date). 11yo TB Gelding - ROR Eligible, Potential Grassroots Eventer

Very sad and extremely reluctant sale… Jay A.K.A Keepsgettingbetter (IRE) is an 11 yo bay TB gelding who had raced only 4 times until . He is a good lad, a sweet and willing boy and very intelligent… Sold to me as a “ready-to-ride”, competition ready horse who knows his job and loves it too but it turned out Jay was given up on by his previous owner who left him out 24/7 for what I expect was many months with no work or real care as she had evented him until she’d had enough and bored, wanted a new mount to thrash. This only came to light after I’d got him home. Since, I have brought him on, retrained him from the ground up and he now doesn’t batter an eyelid at the farrier, vet or dentist and lunges (double lunge and long reins) to voice command like a true gent. He allows anyone to catch or turn him out and is quiet in his stable and in the field with no vices such as cribbing, weaving as many other Ex-Racehorses do. To ride, he is a nice, forward but often very fresh boy. He’s very sensitive and has a tendency to get way too excited and have a hoolie moment. If given an excuse, he will seize the opportunity. He is NOT a novice ride and can be a handful and therefore requires an experienced rider with a history of hot breeds and sharp and hot behaviour. This is typical Jay – not harmful with intent, a lovely sweet boy 99% of the time but over excitable for a hot minute – and in doing so, is very strong, can be a bit silly and lacking self-control. Jay is sensitive to the leg and very susceptible to seat aids and he LOVES to jump and has hunted, and competed in unaffiliated XC, SJ and dressage although not with me. He has a HUGE scopey jump and will jump anything you point him at. He has so much potential with the right person, unfortunately due to the lack of time, that’s not me and I couldn’t be any more gutted. I do not want to sell Jay and it is still a very hard decision but I have brought him on as far as I possibly can as I work very long hours and so cannot afford him the further training and schooling that he needs and deserves to progress his ridden work – during the week as I arrive to the yard late and will not ever ride when alone on the yard for safety reasons. Jay needs someone with the time, patience and experience to improve his ridden discipline and progress him from his outstanding ground and lunge work which unfortunately, I just cannot do. £ ONO - The right home is so much more important than price. I just want Jayboy to be enjoyed to his full potential with the right person. Vet checked, teeth and back done in early November , new shoes every 6 weeks without fail and not due vacs until August . T has done his basic re training since leaving the track in October . He has three good paces and a good work ethic. Fine in open spaces, not strong and will lead or follow, Easy to box, Easy to shoe (cold shod), Easy to clip, Has a most loving nature and is gentle in and around the stables. Excellent in traffic,hacks alone or in company, good to shoe, clip, load and handle although can be a typical cob and drag you off to the grass sometimes. Unfortunately it's a habit he came with! Excellent mover, will do a lovely dressage test and works in a good consistent outline in all paces. Beautiful rocking horse canter! Jumps sj and xc with alot of scope, but this is where I let him down, as it's just not my thing. Has never bucked, rear or bolted, but is not a novice ride. Only because if you are out hacking alone he will spook at silly things like a random letter box or if a field of horses went cantering round as you rode by he would get on his toes. Striking Gelding - Untapped Dressage /Showing Potential

Very striking and sweet natured 16 hh ISH 10 yo Dark Bay/Black gelding, moves lovely on the flat with untapped potential in the Dressage or Showing sphere, being placed in several unaffiliated Dressage competitions. He has a great attitude and loves attention and fuss...he needs and deserves to be somebody’s love/focus and have a proper job. I have a couple of horses and he’s taken a slight back seat, he’s truly wasted. A change in my personal circumstances has just highlighted the need to find him a new exciting, loving home and do right by him. This boy does not have a bad bone in his body but he is not a novice ride. He has a good measure of TB in him and occasional mini moments of nervous energy, so needs savvy confident rider.
