Drascombe Lugger Sailing Boat

Drascombe Lugger on a twin axle roller trailer with recent new bearings. very easy to launch and tow. This is the 24th lugger ever built at Kelly an Hall, late 's, restored a couple of years ago by me. Complete with Jib, main and mizzen sails, stainless standing rigging with mast in tabernacle for ease of raining and lowering. Also small hand ratchet winch to help raise the mast. Heavy duty mast down cover keeps her dry on the trailer. Also oars for rowing and 6hp 2 stroke outboard with external tank and forward, reverse and neutral. Currently ashore at Friars goose on the river Tyne and selling to fund next project. Inspection welcome by appointment. Great fun to sail or motor, easy to beach for a picnic then sail off! Mast and spars recently varnished, hull and benches could do with paint touching up this winter.

Yacht Drascombe Lugger

Drascombe Lugger Yacht, Classic Wooden Boat built locally Norman Whyte Findhorn. Seaworthy yachts, these boats have crossed the Atlantic, Pacific and been sailed to Australia. Drascombes can be sailed, rowed, motored ideal for fishing or family recreation. This Lugger is in excellent condition throughout it has been an ideal winter project/refit genuine reason for current sale. Decks are sheathed primed and painted with two coats International Squall Blue Deck Paint, side decks are primed, undercoated and finished with International Danboline. Internal lockers cleaned and painted, with internal buoyancy, plus 4 Crewsaver Bouyancy Bags for side lockers. Bilge epoxied, primed and undercoated finished with two coats of International Danboline. All spars taken back to bare wood and treated with numerous coats of Dek Olej D1 saturator and Dek Olej D2 gloss varnish. Hull has been primed, undercoated and received three coats of International Toplac Atlantic Grey. Below the waterline two coats of grey International Primacon just requires antifoul of choice to complete. Jib, Main and Mizzen sails are probably original and in good order for age. There is a unique 'Piggy Back' trailer, Road Trailer is braked, serviced and in very good order, launching Trailer is a 4 wheeler which is useful for moving the boat around the yard and fits into a normal size garage on this trailer. This little yacht comes with Bilge Pump and Bailer, Pair of Oars, Rowlocks, 4 Crewsaver Buoyancy Bags and Pump, Folding Anchor, Ratchet Strap, Light Board, Old Cover, Tatty cockpit cover useful as a template for new. Asking Price is a fair price to avoid haggling, please note there is no outboard. Loch Ness mooring possibly available by separate negotiation. 18 foot Drascombe Lugger

This unique Drascombe Lugger with cuddy is the only known example of this fishing/sailing boat. Comes with Honner Marine road trailer (fully serviced ), Mariner 5hp four-stroke outboard (new ) with approximately only 50 hours use (again serviced annually). In the cuddy there are two lights, a camping gaz single ring cooker (probably needs replacing!) electric/automatic bilge pump, light switches including those for the navigation lights. The two masts have stainless standing rigging. There are three sails in good order, the foresail is furling, the Main has reefing points and the mizzen furls against its mast. All necessary sheets. Sprayhood/wind-break and mooring cockpit cover (New in ). There is a galvanised kick-up rudder with teak tiller.
