Kite Lines for Dual & Quad Line Kites  The best type of line for 2 line kite flying is a material called Dyneema, this is resistant to friction which is an important factor when crossing the lines over whilst performing twists and turns, there are even better lines which are made out of other materials and this is reflected in the cost. Our lines are wrapped, two lines together on a plastic winder and the colours of the winder may vary. The winder is only used to wrap the lines, the lines need to be attached to the kite at one end and onto a pair of straps at the other, no handles are used, this is the way the professionals fly. We are now also stocking a Polyester line set, whilst not fully ideal due to the polyester material not have a resistance to friction, they can be more affordable for the cheaper stunt kites than the higher quality dyneema lines. The Polyester lines are made by Colours in Motion and also come with a pair of straps at an affordable price.Our Dyneema Lines are in the main made by Climax and are the lines and winder only. Most climax sport kite lines are manufactured from CORAMID. CORAMID is a high quality brand fibre among others such as Dyneema or Spectra. CORAMID has the same basic characteristics as these (i.e. melting point) but performs better in all other areas.Climax® lines are different to conventional sport kite lines. A special braiding technique, through and thorough impregnation and a special polishing process give braided climax lines their unique characteristics. The fibres have a tighter alignment and line surface becomes smoother and harder. A tighter braid reduces line cross-section by more than 50%. This results in a minimum of wind resistance (drag), and forces acting on your climax kite line are distributed more evenly among the individual fibres.
