 Beautiful old leather saddle.  Was used fairly recently for getting new horses used to the weight of it.  Quite small measuring   inches from front to back. Has recently become more of a fixture in the house as I've polished and waxed it up to its former glory and considered mounting on a fitting to use as a stool!  Looks great hanging over a bannister or something. A lovely tactile conker / chestnut coloured saddle, name plate missing off rear of saddle, has some nice repairs / distressing. Have added a few ideas in the photos, could be converted to a desk seat, perhaps footstool or shop window prop / decoration Have tried to take pictures in all lighting as our room is quite dark, flash has been used in some pictures, would say the leather looks the tones of conker. Sorry, I don't know if it's military, dressage, horse, pony or what. Just know I had to have it at the time, lovely old item. Please note other items in pictures are not part of this sale. The padding on the underside is in good condition as are the straps and complete with the metal stirrups. However the leather seat on the top side is splitting and separating (please study pictures). These and the others I am listing were found in the attic of a very old house I lived in, but I have just moved and don't want to store them any more, they would be good in a museum or for someone learning fashion or tailoring. They have been expertly made on savile row in London and there is so much hand stitching it must have taken ages to make them and a lot of money to have them made. The material is like a thick wool, and the cream inner leg is suede. There are some moth holes, some stitching on the buttonholes are missing, but they are very old, so you must take that into account before bidding. The waist measures 26.5" all the way round when fastened. From waist to the bottom of the leg measures 37.5". All the buttons are complete and some have Huntsmans Savile Row on them. They are very heavy and weigh   without packaging Please look at the others I have on separate listings, and the postage will be reduced if you buy more than one, only the actual postage cost will be charged, there are also a pair of leather gaiters that were found in the same box on a separate listing.   PLEASE FEEL FREE TO ASK ANY QUESTIONS.
