Black Thorowgood Cob GP saddle, 17" in good condition. The saddle has been used and has a small cosmetic section which has come loose at the front but a bit of glue should sort that out and it does not detract from the saddle in any way. It is clean and tidy and is in good repair. Checked over by a saddle fitter (Master Saddler) in the last week and has been declared as a good saddle and is in a good state of repair. I have used this saddle on my young cob, but now that he is older I am moving on to a traditional fitted leather saddle for showing etc. Low start price as this saddle must go. I don't have an infinite amount of space in the tackroom! The saddle comes with either a white gullet (xwide) or a blue gullet (MedWide) so please do specify your preference. Please look at the Thorowgood website to satisfy yourself as to the saddle itself and the gullet bar you require. Any questions then please do not hesitate to contact me. I have set the postage at £20 and the saddle will be delivered by courier (MyHermes) but if the cost is less I will refund you the difference. Thorowgood Griffen Cob saddle " seat and extra wide (10 inches D to D) It is not a changeable gullet or Fish system. Not in show condition, it does have some signs of wear , the cantle is scuffed and the Thorowgood stud on one side of the pommel is missing. It is however otherwise a perfectly good saddle, the point and balance  girthstraps have been replaced with leather straps and all 4 girth straps are in excellent condition. Welcome to my listing. Please take an extra note of the terms at the bottom as there very strict and if you do not wish to stick to them PLEASE do NOT buy.   Right in this listing:   Thorowgood Maxam Cob version GP saddle   17 inch and id say it was a medium-wide to wide fit but please view photos of measurements and decide for yourself.   D-ring at the back to attach a crupper too if needed.   Girth straps in great condition and removable/movable front knee blocks.   Cosmetically it has been used so shows normal signs of use, the only blemish’s to point out is:   1. There has been a repair on the seat where the fabric has ripped slightly but it has been stitched up well and wouldn’t cause any issues with use 2. On the cantle the fabric on each corner again has spilt slightly but I have glued this down so again shouldn’t cause any issues 3. On front left knee roll there’s been a rip in fabric again cosmetic 4. On the front pommel there is a slightly spilt in fabric   All of these are not that noticeable and certainly wouldn’t cause ANY issues at all with its use, a seat saver would cover the ones on the seat and cantle and the riders leg would cover the knee one if your bothered.   Still a great little saddle and other then those blemish’s it only shows normal signs of use and plenty of wear left.     All of this is ONLY cosmetic and won’t effect use at all, its still a fab saddle for backing purposes/home/starter saddle.     PLEASE VIEW photos ALL cosmetics are shown. PLEASE DO expect some stray horse hairs.   Bargain price.   AGAIN please ONLY bid if you agree to all terms in listing description ONLY! I have for sale a used, but in excellent condition 17" Thorowgood T4 cob saddle. Measures approximately 9" D-D and 5" on widest part of gullet panel under neath)....Used on a flat backed welsh cob. This saddle is fantastic for wide native/traditional types. I tried nearly 50 saddles, all of which rolled or just simply didn't fit. This was perfect, never moves. Has fish insert system (not available with saddle as never needed to use) allowing saddle to be altered to fit if necessary. Light weight and has been used in the show ring at county level. Because it is leather look with suede knee rolls/seat, you can't tell it is a synthetic. Straighter cut on the knee roll so does not restrict shoulders....Always kept inside and ridden with a cover on so virtually no wear to suede.   Buyer can collect if preferred or can post at cost. So this will changed the extra wide to a wide width! Some straps are stretched (as in pictures) but shouldn't cost much to replace!
