It creates better leverage for the driver by giving a different angle of control. It attaches to the back of the bridle crown sliding between where the front and rear overcheck fasten. Driving lines are run up and through the rings on each side and then fastening to the driving bit. this is a webbing harness with brass buckles and rings. it is labelled as Shetland size but I would say small pony. (used on 11hh Dartmoor) it has been professionally repaired on the blinkers a little stitching on top of the  roller.  happy for it to be collected.

I am selling my harness as decided i prefer to ride than drive. It is a synthetic/ webbing harness complete. The harness is full size with brass buckles etc but the bridle is full size with silver buckles i think its newer than the harness. There is some wear to harness but has life left in it. Good starter harness.
