Designed to be used with either traditionally plaited, pulled or full tails (the latter can be loosely plaited just under the dock) a nifty central Velcro strap is threaded through the plait to secure the bag, with an elasticised toggle pulled around the tail for added security. The toggle system helps prevent any muck getting into the bag, but also allows owners with horses that have extra long tails to 'loop' the bag back up in half, to prevent it dragging on the floor or being trodden on. A Velcro hem, allows the bottom of the bag to be opened so that the tail can be guided through by hand, allowing the tail to be kept smooth and tangle free. The unique design of the Tail Bag ensures that the majority of the tail is covered, allowing owners to continue bandaging the top half of the tail for protection or finish. Because the tail does not have to be plaited for use, it saves time and fuss as well as leaving the horse with smooth, clean, kink free locks.
