I have for sale this English leather side saddle. The saddle has a leather seat and heads and is in need of some repair. The saddle measures 16.5" from the very back of the cut back head and 17" from the very front of the cut back head. The seat approx 13" wide at the widest point and the nearside flap is approx 16" wide and 12" deep from the roller bar. The saddle has a roller stirrup bar so must always be used with a suitable safety stirrup. I would think that this saddle is a narrow/medium to narrow fit. I believe that this saddle is around 100 years old and it is in need of repair to bring it back to its best. The saddle shows signs of wear, tear and repair throughout including several areas of loose and repaired stitching (especially to the seat seams), scuffs, a few worm holes and a few small tears (please study photos). Both heads also need some attention. Other than a few small areas the serge lining appears in reasonable condition. Some, if not all, of the straps will need to be replaced and there is an area on the near side point packet that will need a repair (both point pockets seem to have had some attention already). Finally, there is a slight crease running across the seat and while I cannot feel any break in the tree I am not an expert so I recommend that you have the saddle checked by a saddler. Having said all the above the saddle is actually quite nice. I have had this saddle in my small collection for some time and I am fond of it but it is now time that it stopped gathering dust and had a useful life once again. Once repaired it may prove suitable for someone who would like to try side saddle before deciding to invest a large amount of money in a top quality saddle. The saddle has a low starting price and there is no reserve.  I will happily have the saddle back if it proves unsuitable.

I offer for sale this 18" leather seated English side saddle.  The saddle is a generous medium width fitting. The seat is 13.5" at the widest part and the near side flap length is 17" from the seat seam and just over 13" from the top of the skirt. The saddle does not carry a makers name plate but it is clearly a good quality saddle with a flat style seat and wide heads.  It has what I believe to be a Champion and Wilton style stirrup bar. Sorry, but the leather, iron and balance girth are all missing. As would be expected for a saddle of this age it shows general signs of wear and tear throughout with a few old worm holes and several scuffs, marks and repairs. There is a tear on the skirt which will require repair, some/all of the girth straps will need to be replaced and the heads will need some attention.  Other than a couple of tiny holes the serge lining seems in a reasonable condition. With a little attention this will be a super saddle which will hopefully have years of useful life ahead of it.  This is the last saddle I shall be selling from my small collection for some time. I will accept return of the saddle if it proves unsuitable.

Newly made OFF SIDE side saddle for a draft horse. The riders legs go to the right hand side. Size XW Tree, 18" diagonal points. 18"length of Seat, 14"width of seat. This saddle is for a very wide horse. I designed the tree to be flatter and broader to accommodate a true draft horse with no/minimal withers.  This one has a regular stirrup bar, with the counter part stirrup leather. A collaspable iron MUST be used. Imported leather with English sent metal parts, fine suede seat and pommels, wool flocking. This is a non jumping saddle. It is not reinforced enough to absorb the pressure a jumping side saddle demands. This saddle comes with an adjustable stirrup leather and balance strap. You will need to provide a safety iron and girth. I do sell draft girths, 60" upwards if needed, but you will have better idea what size to order once the saddle is on your horse. This was our first saddle, called the 'Malone'. I took them to Beta years ago, they have also appeared at the Side Saddle Nationals for the past 3 years. They are great starter saddles, but I am focusing on our European saddle now, which can be made for a draft horse, but these last few will not be continued. This is a beautiful antique side saddle made by Champion and Wilton.  It is in desperate need of renovation as I have had it stored away in the loft for years.  It deserves some TLC! The seat measures 17.5 ins from the cut back head to the end of cantle.  It has a beautiful quilted seat which is in excellent condition.  The remainder of the leather work around the suede seat does have worm holes but all this leather work would require replacing.  The flap and pommels are in good order and the straps too with the exceptio9n of the near side strap which is alittle dry. This really is a lovely saddle but I will neverr get time to do anything about it so I have decided to sell it as it is taking up space! Please feel free to message me for further photographs or measurements. I dont mind viewing and the saddle could be collected by the purchaser if preferred.

Have for sale my much missed using Saddle Company Working Hunter/Show saddle. Brought for me to use for ridden showing classes, but unfortunately due to confidence of riding the horse in large open spaces has meant its no longer being used. Daughter has taken on the horse and moved onto a jumping saddle. So I must sell this saddle on. It is a full leather saddle. Under the leg flaps it is complete leather unlike some that are around that is synthetic. It is brown all over with suede knee patched and seat. The tree is fully adjustable and can go from being very narrow to a large wide horse. I believe this can go as large as an XXL. There are 5 girth straps which will help with native horses and flat backed horses with the extra straps to help hold the saddle down to fit. Has one tiny split in the cantle as shown in the picture along with a bit of stitching loose from the stirrup leather. These were the imperfections that the saddle came to me with and hasn't altered at all. When I brought the saddle 3 years ago it was only 18months old before I got it with it not being used that often by previous owner. We ourselves have only used the saddle about 20 times. It has been surplus to requirements for the last 9 months. Have attached a photo of the saddle placed on top of my horse. He is a 15.3 cob x tb and quite chunky. I believe the width of the current setting is at  D ring - D ring = 9" and Logo pin - pin = 7" wide. I paid over £500 for this saddle 2 years ago and believe it still holds its value as a full leather saddle does not become available very often. SO grab yourself a bargain. Postage costs is little high as I am unaware what the actual cost would be. If you wanted this saddle posted I would then find out the price once the item has been boxed up.
