              This is a fine and early example of an antique early safety stirrup.  "VICTORIAN Ladies SIDESADDLE STIRRUP IRON" CIRCA 's The base underneath is hand stamped with "SCOTT'S SAFETY SOLID NICKEL"      SIZE 3 The stirrup Iron is "put together" with hand planished side rivetts.  Full height- 17cm Inside bar height- 10.5cm Full width- 13cm Inside foot aperture- 8.5cm  Perfect and usable condition, very strong with no looseness.   Due to being an antique I have left its years of patina alone. (this is NOT rust only metal disclolouration), though if you chose, the stirrup would polish up with an abrasive cleaner to shiny Nickel very easily.(I use Autosol)  Only adds to the character of this stirrup iron.
