I managed to track down this original Fal Cavalier online for the simple reason that these rugs, in my opinion, are second to none.  This was used for one winter only.  It has very little signs of wear and is in excellent condition.  I have not had the rug washed simply because it compromises the weatherproofing, so it is a little muddy.  There are no snags, tears or damage to the body of the rug - it's only fault is that the stitching is coming away slightly on one of the front straps (this, as you can see from the photo, could be repaired easily). Like a duvet for your horse and so light to handle, quick drying and keeps the coat shiny. T bar fastenings, crossover surcingles and plastic covered fillet string.  These original rugs are getting harder and harder to come by and are expensive if you can find them! It is 6 ft 6 inch, heavyweight (350g) and aqua blue with green binding.  It also has a detachable neck. A really quality, cosy rug - will keep the elements at bay for your equine friend all winter!
