Selling my Point Two Air Jacket as I have retired this year from eventing to concentrate on my dressage. I have worn this amazing piece of kit several times but happy to confirm that it has never 'Inflated' as I have never fallen off....but the peace of mind it has given me has been well worth the money. Comes with one air cannister fitted and a spare plus the lanyard for attaching to the front of the saddle. MEDIUM...ADULT. With fully adjustable straps to fit it snugly over your body protector or can be worn alone for hacking or showjumping. BLACK AS NEW....except for a few marks conducive to normal use. Helite are the Air Bag Technology experts and pride themselves on the research and development that goes into all of their products. 14 Nations were equipped with this system at the London Olympics. All Helite Air Jackets have a Multi-directional Triggering System to ensure safe release of the rider in all situations. Protection is given to the full length of the back and chest as well as protection for the sides and back of the neck. This greatly minimises the risk of whiplash injuries and helps to prevent impact injuries. We advise that the Air Jacket is worn in conjunction with a BETA Level 3 body protector. When not inflated the Air Jacket allows for full body movement. When inflated the jacket supports the spinal column to prevent over flexion of the spine. It also provides approximately 45% more protection for the lower spine than a BETA level 3 body protector alone. The Helite Trigger system uses a screw in canister - this is a proven and safe system. The canister must be screwed in tightly, under no circumstances should screw thread be visible. The plug at the bottom must also be fully screwed in and an allen key is provided to do this. The wearer of the Childs Air Jacket - size small and medium must weigh at least 4 stone in weight to ensure the trigger system is activated in the event of a fall. The child large is a minimum weight of 6 stone. The Child small and medium size Air Jackets take the 50cc canister and the child large and adult size jackets take the 60 cc canister.

It inflates in the blink of an eye to protect the rider in the event of a fall.   How the ProAir works: The air jacket is inflated by a canister of C02, stored on the front of the jacket. When the rider separates from the saddle, the canister is activated by the release of a lanyard that is clipped from the jacket onto an attachment on the saddle. The air bags will inflate within one tenth of a second — roughly equivalent to the blink of an eye.   The ProAir will hold the rider tight for seconds and then slowly deflate over two to three minutes. While the jacket is inflated, the rider will continue to have full movement of their waist, arms and legs, and partial movement of their head.   Areas of protection The ProAir vest has been proved to work in three ways; to distribute pressure, absorb shock and support the spinal column in the event of a fall.
