NS Baucher/hanging cheek snaffle Size 5.5 In very good condition with only slight chomp marks on mouthpiece but still very smooth and no sharp edges. Save on the RRP of around £85. Dressage legal as a Snaffle or as a Bradoon used in conjunction with a Weymouth. Explanation from the manufacturer; The action of this bit works mainly on poll pressure, when a contact is taken the upper arm is angled forwards causing the mouthpiece to lift - thereby suspending it in the mouth and reducing pressure across the tongue and the bars, very beneficial for sensitive mouths! Any extension above the mouthpiece causes poll pressure - this in itself has a head lowering action. However, if the horse is going forward into a contact and is active behind this will encourage a rounding action and will help tremendously with the outline.

This is a 5.5 inch Neue Schule Baucher (hanging cheek) bit. It is only a week old. I have listed this as used, but in truth it has only been used once and found to be a bit too small:-(  Pony is a bit chompy so there are some small marks on it. Price paid over £85.

The Neue Schule Tranz Angled Lozenge Balding Running Cheek Gag? bit is the perfect choice for horses that lean on the bit and block the riders rein aids. The loose lever action emphasises the riders rein aids helping the horse to come back and listen and as the ring rotates, it reduces the horses ability to hang on the bit.
