It is a level 2 Myler bit which is ideal for the intermediate level horse, and also for many beginners. It encourages the horse to bend, balance and relax at the poll. This mouthpiece features a 1/4" port to introduce tongue relief. This bit acts on the tongue and corner of bars, gently wrapping lips, but the port gives more tongue relief when the bit is not engaged by the rider. This has been tried on a static horse but not even ridden in so is as new 5 1/4" Myler comfort snaffle - great bit for a horse who prefers less tongue pressure.  Also has the hooks on top and bottom of the bit rings so you can add pole pressure should you choose.
