This has been relined in expensive plush velvet material of the highest quality, the same as the interior of the box. Underneath the additional tray and beneath the base of the box have also been lined in velvet to stop any scratches to other surfaces. The box is approximately 6.25" x 4.25" with a depth of from the top of the lid. The box is used and has the occasional small blemish which I've tried to highlight in one of the photos, but this adds to the overall character and appearance of this lovely jewellery box. The hinges are a particularly nice feature, too. The interior is of a pink velvety material. I always try to be as accurate and as fair as is possible in the description of my items. You are bidding on a Mele Jewellery Box. it has 4 wooden drawers to the left, one of which has a ring roll inside to the right it has a glass fronted section (with a stained glass effect flower motif), inside this is a rotating chain carousel (with 8 hooks) and a mirror to the rear. it looks it is manufactured from oak although I am no expert and it may be a different wood. the only bad points I can find with this piece are that the rear (not the top or sides) has been faded with sun and one of the drawers (pictured) has the edges of the lining flexing away from the drawer.
