This is a seat from an old gig, trap, cart, carriage but is in general good condition. It's just dusty in photos. It's cushion has a small tear on corner as shown in photo. The wood is fine as is the metalwork so would be a great easy restoration project or spare seat. Just needs little sprucing up. It would need collecting because of size. Up for auction is our horse/pony trap which has been dry stored for some time. The trap is generally in good condition but would benefit from being freshened up. All metal and wood is solid and some quirky little lamps are installed to the front! The seat is whole and clean and has spring suspension. As shown in the photographs the top layer of lacquer is flaking a little. We do also have harnesses etc somewhere and will attempt to locate them if there is enough interest generated - this would be sold separately. Item is in North East Fife. PROJECT TRAP. Should make a nice quick-turnaround job for someone. Note this trap is near to DE73 DERBY, next to the A50. I had to relist this as I didn't include the measurements and everyone was asking so sorry if you were a previous watcher. This is a really light-weight aluminium trap. A 10 year old child can pull it round with ease. The height of the side bars in the main photo when horizontal are 34 inches off the floor. We were told this is for approx 14hh to 15hh horse but you make up your own mind on that one! Its 10foot long in total. the seat is about 28inches off the ground. The wheels are approx 24 inches diameter. We were going to refurbish this but haven't got round to doing it. As you can see, it needs new tyres, kick board and seats etc. The side bars look like one has rested on something higher than the other. You can come and have a look see before you bid if you like, just message me. Only bid if you want it as I'm not into fajjing around. The highest bid is the price, no tyre kickers after auction end.
