All numbered and limited to apart from volume which is limited to 600. All volumes in the original matching brown cloth with cream cloth spines, top edge gilt, gilt titled to spines and front boards, contents complete with illustrations. The volumes are .   Because of the weight, the auction is for the UK only and postage is £7.00. Condition:  A few tidy books, but probably best seen as a collection of plates.  The boards are all very worn with damp staining and looks like a mouse has been chewing it. Most have fraying to the spine ends. Some of the pages have been affected by the damp staining and the appendix for has been quite badly affected. has 4 pages that are loose and the front free end paper is missing. Some of the tissue guards are creased or frayed. Most of them have a name and date () to the front free end paper.

Third edition example of Sidney's famous and all-encompassing book on all matters equine. This was printed in the mid to late s and has the bookplate (ex libris) of Sir Charles Brownlow. I bought it from an antiquarian book seller for a small fortune. My wife and I have enjoyed it but are minimising our library and want it to find a good home. The colour plates alone sell for above £40 (there are 28 of these) and many plain prints, but I couldn't bring myself to start slicing up such a fine book. It is in very good condition for its age, the one defect can be seen in one of the attached photos; a tear at the frontispiece. Crucially for such a volume there are no missing pages. Thank you.
