It has a horn handle at one end with crosses etched on top and bottom. wooden shaft with plaited leather at end near horn, and tightly wound stringing at other end with a leather loop. There is no damage on the crop which measures inches not including leather loop. A nice item.

Details about   Vintage Eegee Riding Whip/ Crop

Welcome to my auction for this very good, used Vintage Eegee Whip, Riding Crop, measuring just over 25 inches in length. Made from various materials, I think the core is made from hard rubber, which is then covered, the handle with brown leather, the main shaft of woven material. The handle is tipped with a white metal cap, probably steel, and where the handle ends has a hard plastic woven textured collar, which holds the leather wrist loop. The foot of the whip is with the leather strap loop, which is neatly and skillfully held by a strong brown cotton feel thread, hand wound, acting as both a collar and securer for both shaft material, and leather loop. The leather loop is marked in gilt, 'EEGEE WHIP, MADE IN ENGLAND'. The over all condition is very good, some light wear to lower leather, some white paint to wrist strap, and tarnishing to metal cap, but please see the pictures, as it is in good used condition, still tight and tidy, and very good quality. Note to buyers: When Listing items I try to be as accurate as possible in my descriptions. That said, it may be that I have missed something that is of valid importance. If this is the case, please get in touch as soon as possible, so as to rectify the issue in a timely  and mutually satisfactory manner. HORN SILVER WHIP RIDING CROP & PLAQUE-CANADIAN MOUNTED POLICE -PROVENENCE A fascinating antique horn, leather and silver riding crop whip with a fascinating provenence. It comes with an antique name plate for Bruce Smith who also owned the riding crop which has a silver sleeve with a dedication that says 'BRUCE SMITH R.N.W.M.P REGINA SASKATCHEWAN CANADA October '. Each silver sleeve has an English hallmark for London . On the back of the handle is a brass Royal North West Mounted Police badge. I guess the plaque must have come off his office door! Whip is 49cm long plus the flexible whip section at the end.                      l
