FOR AUCTION WITHOUT RESERVE IS THIS ANTIQUE FRENCH MUSICAL JEWELLERY BOX. IT IS MADE OF GILDED METAL IN THE FORM OF A GRAND PIANO. THE INTERIOR IS SILK LINED AND HOUSES THE MUSICAL MECHANISM, NOT SURE OF THE NAME OF THE MELODY IT PLAYS BUT IT SOUNDS SWEET. THE BOX COULD ALSO BE USED FOR COSMETICS. HEIGHT IS 10.5 CM. LENGTH 18 CM.  WIDTH 9.5 CM. WEIGHT GRAMS. THE LID HAS A MINIATURE PRINT OF A PORTRAIT OF A LADY SET INTO AN OVAL SHAPE FRAME. WHEN THE LID OPENS THE MUSIC BOX IS TRIGGERED, THIS IS WOUND BY A FIXED KEY UNDERNEATH. LOOKS LIKE TWO OF THE LEGS HAVE BEEN REPAIRED AT SOMETIME AND THERE IS A TINY HOLE (5 mm) JUST ABOVE THE FAUX PIANO LID. THE UNDERSIDE IS STAMPED 'DEPOSE' STRANGELY THE 'S' IN REVERSE. VERY HEAVY ITEM FOR ITS SIZE... MUST HAVE LEAD CONTENT IN THE METAL. WOULD BE A GOOD ADDITION TO ANY COLLECTION  OR WOULD MAKE A WONDERFUL GIFT FOR THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE... This elegant 19thC. French brass jardiniere measures 250mm x 220mm and has an oval shape. It stands 180mm high from floor to rim. Four lion's claw feet stand between four embossed ribbons with a flower feature in the centre of each quarter and a bow above each lion (see images). Ad ID:

Exquisite, one-off, hand painted antique Chinese cabinet, in very good condition. Likely from 19th century - certainly not a modern imitation! This was a gift to my family from another family member but it no longer fits in our house, which is why I'm selling. It has two main doors, three main base drawers, 3 inner drawers. All drawers and doors have original metal handles and the original metal 'closing latch'. It is made of painted wood, with 4 painted main scenes. Fine Circa Campaign Style Gentleman's Jewelry Canteen  Quality antique box of classic British style & workmanship!    A superb jewelry box faced with cordovan leather having line-tooled borders; the gently domed and padded top with inset brass mount and swing bail handle.  Silvered brass escutcheon of shield-form, lever lock. Interior lined with leather and padded red silk.  Lift-out tray with plush central compartment for a pocket watch flanked by wells behind a section for rings.  Deep interior with padded bottom.  L id supported on stout brass box hinges retaining nickel plating.  The lock plate and closure are also nickeled.
