this saddle although lacking a makers mark is a beautifully made quality english leather saddle (which no doubt cost a small fortune back when it was made) it is 17.5 inch in length and approx medium/med-wide fit (8in d to d or about 5.5in between the saddle cushions at the front.) it is showing some signs of its age with a few scuffs and marks on the leather and does have the name dandy faintly marked into the back of the cantle (see picture) but i cannot stress enough the quality this saddle is despite its age - not one for the show ring for obvious reasons, but years and years of useful life left in it - the perfect buy for hacking and use at home.

Very well looked after brown leather Dever saddle. I've had this saddle for nearly 5 years, I've just bought a Dressage saddle for my boy so have decided to sell my Dever. Recently reflocked, stitching & girth straps all in good condition. It came with a mark on the seat but it's very faint, and there are some scuff marks along the back of the cantle, again it came with them and doesn't affect use. It's an extremely comfortable saddle, I've competed up to Elementary in it, jumped up to 1.20m courses, done several full days hunting, it's been to the BRC Championships in Lincoln 3 times and Hartpury once, I've competed in Working Hunter & shown at County level in it. It's a proper GP and very useful saddle. Had my saddler that fitted my dressage saddle check it out, stitching is all in good order, girth straps are sound, tree is sound and it shouldn't need reflocked again for a number of years (depending on use and storage) Any questions please just ask. Details about   17.5" Synergy Brown English leather GP

 Photos really do not do this beautiful saddle justice. This is made form buttery soft leather and has gel-filled knee rolls and a very generously padded seat. The panels are very well cushioned with lovely soft flock and with a great weight-bearing surface and it has a nice wide channel for great spinal clearance. In excellent used condition. The usual marks from where the stirrup leathers sit but not other marks or scratches to mention. The first girth strap is slightly stretched, but again, usual for a used saddle. The buyer will not be disappointed with this saddle. This was priced at £450 in my shop, but the shop has now closed and I am selling the last of my stock with no reserve. Tree is sound, as is everything else on this stunning saddle. Medium width (see photos for measurement). 17.5" seat. Dark brown leather.
