Beautiful Dutch design armchair of wood and rope (paper cord). This armchair is attributed to V&D,Vroom & Dreesman on 1stdibs, among others, who sold similar chairs at the time. For this, see the book "Tegendraads modern" and do a Google search. This chair is neither in the old V&D leaflets I know, nor in the book. It is nice, however, the construction and rope still in good condition with normal signs of wear for its age. The armchair can be picked up in Rotterdam; transport to be arranged and paid by the buyer. There are transport services that deliver all over the Netherlands (except for the Wadden Islands) for 50. Special design coffee table with two table tops, the bottom one in veneer wengé, 'a livre ouvert', the top one in glass (with small damage, a pit and some scratches due to wear, not noticeable). The legs are made of solid wengé and carry the four thin ridges of the table top subtly.The fitting tool is remarkable, it is fixed to the bottom of the bottom shelf, decades prior to Ikea including fitting tools with their furniture.The design looks simple, but similar coffee tables with wood at the bottom, glass at the top, round and in these dimensions are extremely rare. Extensive literary research has not revealed the designer or producer, not even any similar tables. The condition is good, although the top has a moisture stain from the past, shown as much as possible on the photos (photo 4, bottom seam).
