We believe this piece to be a one-off, custom made floor lamp. The geometric design is indicative of the time it was made, which is the late 's, early 's. A central square has a vertical arm attached to its of its side.The poles are of different height creating a cluster effect. At the top of each pole or stand rests a solid Murano glass shade with a three dimensional hexagonal shape. The purple stripe effect softens the light that radiates through the otherwise thick clear glass. The central body is made of chrome. The light operates on 220V and has screw light bulb fitting. Beautiful mid-century pendant light with post-modernistic influences. A relatively large glass pendant light shaped like a light bulb. The soft honey colour guarantees a very warm light effect. The fitting of the glass hood is made of brass-coated aluminium and attached with three screws that can easily be undone by hand. Not signed. Judging from the design, colour and original wiring it dates back to the period . Fits one E27 light bulb.Includes a 200 cm cord, so it is also ready for high ceilings. Measurements:Height: 37 cmLamp shade diameter at its widest: 21 cmCondition:Very good to excellent.The glass lamp shade is in beautiful undamaged condition, even at the edges that are hidden in the fitting. Nicely shaped ceiling light from the s.Design is a combination of the folding technique and the warm light effect of the Le Klint lamps and the design of the bubble lamps by George Nelson.The lamp isn't signed (any more). The lamp has a refined Chinese lantern shape. The shade is made from a very finely folded plastic. The space between two folds is only 7 millimetres at the widest point. The shade wedges both at the bottom and the top naturally and perfectly into the metal holder. The colour lies somewhere between salmon red and light brown. A beautiful colour that adds extra warmth to the light effect of the lamp.It takes one E14 light bulb.Including 200 cm new wire and thus suitable for the highest ceilings.Measurements:Height: 23 cmDiameter: approx. 29 cm.Condition:Good to very good.Shade in undamaged condition. Beautiful even colour. Minimal, negligible signs of wear.We have replaced the lamp holder and wire.The metal frame, including the rings on the top and bottom, has worn paint and has rusted on the spots where the paint has worn away. Lovely shape and colour, and special technique.Designer and manufacturer unknown.The design is very organic with a beautifully shaped shade. The colour of the glass shade is between honey and beige. The light effect is very warm.Although this lamp is usually attributed to the Art Deco period (s), we suspect it is from the early s.The mounting mechanism is special; the metal ceiling plate has a handle so three sliding plates can be turned towards the inside or outside, so the shade is clamped down securely. It reminds us of the mechanism of old vaults.Although it is meant as a ceiling light, it can also be attached to the wall.Takes one E27 light bulb, in a screw fitting. The fitting is made of brass and porcelain.Measurements:Diameter: 24.3 cmHeight: 10.5 cmCondition:Very good for its age and use.Glass shade is completely pristine. A bit rough on the inside and some chips missing, but not visible.Some light surface scratches that aren't noticeably in daily use. The metal ceiling plate has light corrosion, particularly on the special clamping mechanism. The mechanism works.
