Dandy Destiny High Side 6 Berth

Dandy Destiny High Sided Six Berth in good condition. (No leaks at all - but doesn't look brand new!) Complete with original awning. Insulated PVC 'fabric' and roof, with solid side walls (PVC covered and insulated) and double glazing. Great for a family. Will last for many years to come. 3-Way (gas, mains and 12v) Fridge with small freezer compartment, four burner cooker and grill. Sink with pumped water (12V) Whale. Full mains hook-up with 12v and 240v internal supplies. Strip lights all 12V. Three double sockets 240V. We tend to use it with one double bed permanently set up, the end sofa set up as a sofa and the table with seating for six on two sofas. Now the kids have left we never use the awning! There is plenty of space. As its sides and roof are insulated, just using a small fan heater can warm it up quickly for the colder days / evenings. Toastie! As the tenting is all PVC, it can be packed away wet! Though actually, we have never had to, even in England! Being PVC, we just wipe off the dew in the morning leaving little to dry off before packing. Dandies last for decades! The 'canvas' doesn't rot at all! The side walls are both on gas struts for easy lifting (similar to lift up boot doors on a car) Kitchen unit. Note the fridge and cutlery drawer to the right. Whale pump. 6-berth folding camper with insulated PVC roof so it can be folded away when wet. Built in kitchen unit with grill and two gas hobs, plus sink. The camper is fitted for hook-up and has a whale water pump (not tested) and space for a leisure battery, plus there is an under-floor gas heater (factory fitted) which we have never used. PVC cover fits tightly over the camper when travelling and to protect it when not being used. Very light, can be towed by pretty much any car. Lots of under-seat storage in the camper where you can keep bedding etc. There are a few dints on the trailer as it's 28 years old and the door catch that keeps it open has broken (probably replaceable but it's never bothered us) but it's in really good condition for its age and we've had some brilliant holidays in it, most recently last summer when we went to Lincolnshire for four days of rain and it stayed dry inside the camper throughout the time we were there. It's a really clever design and everything folds away into a much smaller space than you'd expect. It was perfect for us when the kids were younger but now feels a little cramped with three teenagers and two parents which is why we're selling. 's completely original dandy trailer tent, in good condition. Also includes water container, waste water, electric hook up, gas bottle & spare tyre. Only used twice after having 2 new tyres fitted. Completely dry inside, as you would expect with a dandy. Can be folded away wet, with no issues. Two double beds & one folds up as a sofa. As its pvc, it's very warm inside on cold evenings. Never used gas heater as not connected, nor did we use the water as pump missing from it. Gas cooker works great. Very easy to tow & can be folded up & down within 20 mins. Brown & beige original trailer in good condition for age, made in . Storage box on A frame. Legs pull out of either side of the trailer to make settees and then fold down into double beds. The kitchen lifts out of the trailer to make a two storey cupboard with a two ring gas burner and draining board on top. In the other half of the trailer is two seats with under storage and a table, this converts into the third double bed. Electrics all working. It has a wardrobe, several cupboards, sink with water pump, two ring gas hob with grill, and a gas heater (not tested). There is a 240v consumer unit for electric hook-up which runs two double mains sockets, and a 12 volt self-charging battery unit with several 12v sockets for the detachable lights (included). The lockable Front Box can house two gas bottles (one included). Also included are two Isabella Combi Porch Awnings which fit to the awning rails (one has no front panel, so is ideal as a sun canopy). Dandy campers have a galvanised steel and aluminium base. The rigid Front and Back Panels are covered with waterproof PVC, and have gas struts for easy lifting, making it easy to erect and dismantle, with no pegging out. There is a lockable stable type door and three caravan style opening glass windows, which have both curtains and detachable fly screens. The roof and ends are made of very durable insulated waterproof PVC, which does not leak if touched (like canvas) and can be towel dried, and even packed down damp without going mouldy or rotting. As this beige and white Dandy 6 was made late ’s, some age related wear is to be expected, but it is still fully functional and has no leaks, although it could do with a little TLC. There is some rust on the bed legs, and a mark at one end of the roof, but this in no way detracts from the functionality, and is hardly visible once the camper is erected. We bought a new Transit Cover and two new Tyres this summer, and it also has a spare wheel.
