Is anyone out there looking for a companion horse. This is Lola and she is 18 years young. She has a lovely temperament and has good manners, never nasty and has never kicked, doesn't barge or pull. She does exactly what you tell her to do. She is good with farrier and just recently had her teeth done, she is passported and microchipped. Sadly Lola can not be ridden anymore due to her arthritis in her legs which can make her stiff. She has lived in and out but prefers living out. Good to catch and loves a groom. Harvey is a 16.1hh 15 year old Bright Bay Warmblood X Arab. He has previously been used as a dressage and for recreational hacking. He is easy going in every way, catching, rugging, clipping, bathing etc. He is for sale as a companion only due to me having to retire him as he is no longer up for competing or ridden work. He loves company and prefers to be among other horses. Harvey is mildly lame on his nearside fore, he has been for a period of time and the vet assures me he is in no pain at all until pushed with ridden work. He is comfortable in a field all day and the lameness is almost impossible to spot until he is ridden hard in a trot - There is no treatment required for this lameness or any special requirements. Harvey has recently been clipped, is happy eating hay/haylage and lives in overnight. He has experience living alone in the field, or living within a herd. I have a beautiful 8 year old 15.2h Thoroughbread X gelding for sale as a light hacking horse/ show horse or a field companion. He loves people and adores hugs and being pampered. He can live outdoors or will happily stable as he loves to lie down and fall asleep. If used as a companion horse he would be fine being left in a field or stable alone as long as he had something to occupy him e.g. a hay net / grass. He has lived with both mares and gelding and in large mixed herds too. He can be anxious at times around busy yards and worries if things approach him quickly/ noisily from behind. He has just being brought back into work after having had time off due to a right fore lameness issue. Vets advise he is used for light hacking, showing or as a companion horse now. He has definitely got a WoW factor and turns heads wherever he goes. However he is a very sensitive horse and needs a experienced rider / handler that can reassure him when he gets tense and guide him. Companion only!! A truly heartbreaking decision for my gorgeous boy. Same home for the past 5 years. Sadly due to on going behavioural issues when ridden, now confirmed to be pain related due to an undiagnosed problem in his neck, head and poll, I am sadly having to offer my beloved boy for sale as a companion only!!
