Comitti of London Mahogany 8 Day Westminster Chime Wall Regulator Clock. Solid mahogany 8 day Comitti Westminster chime wall regulator clock. The case is all English Made from solid Mahogany and beautifully hand polished. The carved top piece is finished with a central brass finial. The high quality Westminster chime movement plays the Westminster chime very quarter (building up the amount it plays each quarter) and then strikes the corresponding number on the hour. It uses a combination of 5 rods being struck by hammers to make the sound. Supplied with the original key. All in working order, collection only. Dimensions: 57cm(H) x 20cm(W) x 10cm(D) Company History. In Onorato Comitti, an Italian precision instrument maker, opened his workshop in Clerkenwell, London. In a very short time he gained a reputation for superb workmanship and in the company was acknowledged with a Diploma of Honour as one of the finest barometer and clockmakers in England.
