Serama chickens are the smallest in the world. They come in many varieties, but silkied seramas are quite rare. They are also one of the friendliest breeds of chicken in the world and enjoy being handled. They also lay tiny eggs. I have 2 seramas for sale, one hen and one cockerel. They must go together as they get upset if they are parted. They have been hand reared and are used to dogs and cats. Please be aware that they are very small however so do not leave them alone with other larger animals. They have been indoors over the winter, please keep this in mind when considering where to house them if the weather is forecast to be cold. Being so small they do not need much space, a rabbit cage is big enough. They also need smaller than average chicken food, so layers crumbs rather than pellets. Lovely young Silkie Bantam hen and cockerel looking for a new home. These two have been with me from being 3 days old and they have been used for animal handling workshops in school, care homes etc. They are friendly, confident and very tame. They are happy to be handled and will sit on your lap for a cuddle! They are great with kids, get on fine with my rabbits and guinea pigs and are unafraid of dogs. They would make great family pets for someone in a more rural setting than me. I will be very sad to see them go, but cockerel, Cloud is getting louder and I don't think my neighbours appreciate him! They are used to being in a coop at night and when I am out, but love to free range when I am around. They will need shelter as they don't like the rain, but don't fly so they are easy to contain.
